I was invited to stay at the Basin Park Hotel & review my experience for you. My expenses were covered. All opinions are my own.
Something my friends know about me is that I LOVE Eureka Springs. I try to go there every birthday with a group of ladies because I really enjoy myself there. It feels like I’m traveling far away & really getting away, but it’s just 45 minutes away. So, this article is all about why I love it & more importantly, why you should visit during December.
Number One: Eureka Springs hotels – Mainly, my favorite & where I have stayed just about every time I’ve been in town, the Historic 1905 Basin Park Hotel. The Basin is right there on the main drag. It’s beautiful & historical & has a lovely balcony restaurant which often has live music…and it has a spa. That’s sorta Eureka though; fabulous old hotels with spas.
Such a great place to get some Christmas shopping done & maybe get some things you can’t find at Target or ToysRus. I went into this one antique store & found this beautiful mermaid hook for my daughter’s room:
So pretty! I would have loved this in my room as a little girl.
Three: Restaurants/live music – Pretty much everywhere you go in Eureka you can hear music. That’s because there are so many places on the weekend that have live music. Enjoy your meal or a few drinks & music.
Four: Tours – There are lots of tours that you can jump on. We did the Spirits of the Basin tour while we were there & it was pretty fun. We had a great host & we learned a lot of history of Eureka & the Basin Park Hotel. We also got to go on the roof of the Basin! There are lots of other interesting tours to try. One I might do next time is the Downtown Underground tour.
Five: Christmas happenings in Eureka:
Weekend of 12/18-12/20: Snow Village & Train Exhibit, Home for the Holidays
