I recently attended the opening of a new Walmart Neighborhood Market in Rogers, Arkansas. It was pretty fun. There were Minions:One of the reasons I was there was there was to pick up Viva Vantage paper towels for a fun post about tailgating.
I decided to make mini funnel cakes as a take-along for tailgating. Razorback red! Here’s are the ingredients:
Get the oil hot on the high setting. Once it’s good & hot, reduce the heat to medium to avoid burning.
Flip the funnel cake over & cook for 20-30 more seconds. It should be about right. You’ll have to play with it until you get a rhythm. You don’t want them to get brown at all or they’ll be too crunchy. Place each of them on a Viva Vantage paper towel to soak up the grease & just layer them.
Making funnel cakes is a pretty messy job. You need a hard-working paper towel on hand to clean up all the grease splashes & all the powdered sugar. You need some Viva Vantage that you can just quickly swipe it all without having to stop what you’re doing.
Viva Vantage paper towels are great to have on hand at the tailgate:
I probably could have cleaned up the whole spill with one sheet!
Let me know if you decide to try to make these funnel cakes. I’d love to see how yours turns out!
What a cute and easy idea for a party food. Thanks for participating in this shop #client
But where did you get the squeeze bottle!!??!!
I bought a 2 pack at Walmart in the party section with all the cool baking items. I think it was $2!
