Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots vs Crock-Pot Grime FTW

As a mom of 2, I love a crock-pot meal. I love dumping it all in & walking away. I work from home, so I smell the aroma throughout the day & it reminds me that dinner is covered already. What I don’t love is the crazy mess left in there afterward. It doesn’t matter how much I grease that thing, there is going to some crud to deal with when it’s all said & done. Enter Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots!

Dollar General has all the Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots products, so that’s where I went, In my local store, they were located on the back left wall with the cleaning products.

With supplies in hand, I was ready to cook my delicious crock-pot dinner! One of the easiest (& yummiest) dinners I like to make is crock-pot pork tenderloin sandwiches. Here’s what you need if you’d like to give it a whirl:

Pork tenderloin (1 1/2- 2lbs)

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tbs yellow mustard

2-3 tbs maple syrup

2 tbs olive oil

2 tbs diced, dried onions

2 tsps minced garlic

Start by spraying down that crock-pot with some cooking spray or whatever you like to use to lubricate the surface.

Next, put the pork tenderloin in the crock-pot. Then, combine the other ingredients in a bowl until mixed well. When you’re done, pour the mixture over the pork loin in the crock-pot. Let it cook for about 4 hours. Meanwhile, go by & check on it, flip the meat, stir the sauce a bit. Toward the end, you will notice that the meat will start to break apart. Use the back of a wooden spoon to encourage this. Here’s what mine looked like when it was ready:

  1. Yummo
  2. Check out the sides of that crock-pot! Daunting!

The sandwiches were delicious, so they were worth the risk.
